Our Story
Hamilton’s destination for live music, cold drinks and amazing food! Family owned and operated since 2023
Our History
The Hamilton Cat & Fiddle, a beloved pub and live music venue, opened in 1993 and closed in 2021, but has since reopened under new ownership in 2023.
Reg Collett and Dario Pacini opened the Cat ‘N’ Fiddle in 1993 at 174 John St. S, quickly becoming a popular spot, especially for its Wednesday night jazz jam and its welcoming atmosphere.
Keast’s father, Reg Collett, opened the bar with Pacini, and later Keast and her husband joined the business, with Keast and her dad running the bar until Collett’s death in 2006
In September 2021, then-owners Suzanne Keast and her partners made the difficult decision to close the pub due to the pandemic, but the Cat & Fiddle reopened in September 2023 under new ownership, according to Hamilton City Magazine.
